میں نے پردہ کسکا کرکھڑکی سے جھانک کر دیکھا ،لنڈا نےآج گیراج سیل   لگا یاتھا ۔وہ ہر سال گرمیوں میں گیراج سیل ضرور لگاتی ہے ۔اکثر تویہ کہتی ہے کہ میں اپنے گھر کی چیزیں تبدیل کر رہی ہوں جی بھر جاتا ہے انکو دیکھ دیکھ کے ۔گرمیوں میں یہاں گلی گلی گیراج سیل لگ جاتےہیں اکثرلوگ  اپنی  متروک اور غیر ضروری اشیاء سےفراغت پانا چاہتےہیں۔ کچھ نقل مکانی کر رہے ہوتے ہیں ۔ ہم جیسے لوگ ضرور تا اور شوقیہ پہنچ جاتے ہیں بسا اوقات تو پیک کی ہوئی بالکل نئی اشیاء اونی پونی قیمت پر دستیاب ہوتی ہیں ۔ عام طور سے یہ گیراج سیل یا گیراج کے باہر سجا بازار ہفتے کے روز صبح  سات بجے سے دو پہر ایک بجے تک ہوتا ہے ۔ رہنمائی کرنے کے لئے لوگ ایک روز پہلے ہی سے نشاندہی کرنے والے بورڈ چوراہوں اور سڑک کے کنارے لگا لیتے ہیں جن پر پتہ اور تاریخ درج ہو تا ہے ۔ شائقین اور گاہک انتظار میں ہوتے ہیں اور علی الصبح ہی عمدہ اشیاء کے شکارمیں پہنچ جاتے ہیں۔ 

یہ تو بالکل گھر کے مقابل تھا میں نے کچھ کیش ٹٹولا گلے میں بیگ لٹکایا اور پہنچ گئی۔

لنڈا نے کافی اشیا سجا رکھی تھیں ۔ اچھے خاصے برتنوں کے سیٹ ، نادر قسم کی  سجاوٹ کی اشیاء، کانچ کی مرصع بڑی بڑی گڑیا ئیں، باورچی خانے کا سامان ، چمچے ،برتن ،کپڑے ،جوتے ،کڑھائی اور بنائی کا سامان ، چادریں،  میز پوش غرضیکہ انواع و اقسام کی اشیاء تھیں ۔ 

چند گاہک خریداری میں مصروف تھے ۔ انسے فارغ ہوئی تو لنڈا میری طرف متوجہ ہوئی۔ 

ہیلو ہائے کے بعد میں نے  یہاں کی گرمیوں کی تعریف کی جنکا ان یخ بستہ علاقوں کے لوگوں کو شدت سے انتظار ہوتا ہے۔" موسم بہت حسین ہے اسقدر خوبصورت دن ہے۔

 آج تو تم نے بہت بڑا بازار سجایا ہے ۔ انواع و اقسام کی چیزیں ہیں ۔ " میں نے اسکی سیل کی تعریف کی۔

" ہاں یہ سب مام کی چیزیں ہیں ۔ مام بہت شوقین تھیں دنیا جہاں کی چیزیں اکٹھی کی تھیں اور اپنی چیزوں سے بہت پیار کرتی تھیں۔کچھ چیزیں تو ہم تینوں بھائی بہن نے آپس میں تقسیم کر لیں "

" تو کیا انتقال ہوگیا؟ "

" نہیں زندہ ہے ۔ ترانوے برس کی ہوگئی ہیں اور الزائمر کی مریضہ ہیں ۔ نہ زندوں میں نہ مردوں میں ،  مجھے دیکھتی ہیں تو مجھے اپنی ماں سمجھتی ہیں ۔ انکی باتیں سنکر میں سخت ہیجان میں آجاتی ہوں ۔وہ میرے سامنے چھوٹی سی بچی بن جاتی ہیں ۔ جب میں انکو بتاتی ہوں کہ میں آپکی بڑی بیٹی لنڈا ہوں ۔ تو انہیں کچھ یاد نہیں آتا اور ناراض ہوجاتی ہیں۔انسان کسقدر بے بس ہے۔ 

یہ سب بہت مشکل ہے ۔بے حد مشکل ہے ۔ کاش ، اے کاش کہ مام کو اب موت آجائے ۔ مام کو اب مر جانا چاہئے ۔ " لنڈا نے پتھرائی ہوئی آنکھو ں سے مجھے دیکھا ۔

 

حدیث پاک میں یہ دعا ہے

اے اللہ میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں عاجزی اور سستی سے ، بزدلی اور ارزل العمر سے ( بڑھاپے کی ذلیل حدود میں پہنچ جانے سے)زندگی اور موت کے فتنوں اور عذاب قبر سے میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں

غلط فہمی ۔۔افسانہ

میری دوبئی ائر پورٹ سے کراچی کیلئےروانگی تھی ۔جانے سے دو روز پہلے خبر ملی کہ نسیمہ ( جو چند روز پہلے دوبئی میں رکتے ہوئے کراچی گئی تھی) کے ساتھ والی سیٹ پر ایک خاتون اس سے پوچھتی رہی کہ دوبئی میں کیا شاپنگ کی ہے ؟ اور نسیمہ نے خوب بڑھا چڑھا کر تفصیلات بتائیں ۔ اسکی شیخی خوری اور خود نمائی کی عادت تو تھی ہی اور اسطرح کے قصے تو وہ خوب چسکے لے لے کر بیان کرتی تھی ۔اسے  خوب یاد ہے کراچی پہنچ کر خاتون نے کسی کو فون کیا اور کچھ تفصیلات بتاتی رہی ۔ اسے اسکے بھائی لینے آئے تھے ۔ گھر پہنچے تو اسلحے کے زور پر ایک اور گاڑی گیٹ میں داخل ہوئی نسیمہ سمیت تمام گھر والوں کا صفایا کر دیا ۔ جانیں اور عزت بچ گئی ،یہی غنیمت تھا ۔

 نہ تو میں شیخی خور ہوں اور نہ ہی میں نے دوبئی میں کوئی خاص خریداری کی تھی لیکن میں نے فیصلہ کیا تھا کہ لئے دئے رہوں ۔ گیٹ کے قریب نشست سنبھالی تو چاروں طرف نظر دوڑائی ۔ کونے میں ایک پاکستانی جوڑا براجمان تھا دونوں ایک دوسرے کے گلے میں بانہیں ڈال کر ایک دوسرے پر نچھاور ہو رہے تھے ۔ہمارے پاکستانی کلچر میں میاں بیوی تو ایسا ہرگز نہیں کرتے اور وہ بھی پبلک کے سامنے۔ لڑکی کا لباس بھی قدرے بے حجابانہ تھا ۔ شاید شو بز سے تعلق ہو ۔

"دوبئی میں مزے کرلو بچو"  میں نے دل میں سوچا یہ گرل فرینڈ کا چکر کھلم کھلا تو اب بھی پاکستان میں نہیں چلتا۔۔اتنے میں ایک لڑکا میرے پاس آیا " آنٹی آپ کراچی جارہی ہیں ،میں بھی کراچی جارہا ہوں ۔میں یہاں اکیلا رہتا ہوں جب بھی موقع ملتا ہے کراچی کا چکر لگا لیتا ہوں باقی فیملی وہیں ہے۔ میں بادل ناخواستہ اسکی کہانی سنکر ہوں ہاں کرتی رہی۔ 

اتنے میں جہاز میں جانے کا اعلان ہوا۔ جہاز میں داخل ہوئی تو دیکھا وہی جوڑا میرے سامنے والی سیٹ پر براجمان  ہے ۔ ایک فلائیٹ اٹینڈنٹ انکے پاس آیا اور انکو خوش آمدید کہا "ہمیں خوشی ہے آپ ہمارے ساتھ سفر کر رہے ہیں ۔اس سے یہ بات تو طے ہوگئی کہ  یہ شو بز کے لوگ ہیں ۔لیکن کون ہیں اتنے میں ایک خاتون میری ساتھ والی سیٹ پر آئیں اور انکو دیکھ کر چہک اٹھیں "ارے یہ تو رامس   ہے اسکا فلاں فلاں شو کافی مشہور ہے آسدن نازیہ خان شو میں آئے تھے ۔ کیا آپ نہیں جانتیں ؟ " "یہ لڑکی کون ہے اور اسکی کیا ہے ؟ میری ساری توجہ لڑکی کی طرف تھی ۔خاتون نے لاعلمی کا اظہار کیااور بتایا کہ اسکی تو ابھی تک شادی ہی نہیں ہوئی ۔ میں انپر ظاہر نہیں کرنا چاہتی تھی کہ میں امریکہ سے آئی ہوں اور میرے پاس پاکستانی چینل نہیں ہیں اسلئے میں انہیں قطعی  نہیں جانتی۔

جہاز اڑاہی تھا کہ چائے کی سروس شروع ہوئی ۔ خاتون  کے ہاتھ پر مکھن لگ گیا تھا  اور ان کا دودھ کا پیکٹ نہیں کھل رہاتھا انہوں نے رامس سے کھلوایا اور اسنے دانتوں سے کھول لیا ۔ خاتون نے اس ے ٹیشو پیپر بڑھا کر ، اس  پر آٹو گراف بھی لے لیا اور اسکے مختلف پروگراموں کی تعریف کرتی رہیں۔ میں قدرے جز بز ہوتی رہی کہ کسطرح گفتگو کا آغاز کروں ۔ اسکے  ساتھ والی لڑکی جو تقریباً اس پر جھکی ہوئی تھی  اس کو متلی شروع ہوئی ، اسنے اسکے منہ سے الٹی کے لئے بیگ لگا لیا ۔۔بالآخر میرے صبر کا پیمانہ لبریز ہوا ،" یہ آپکی بیوی ہے کیا ؟ " میں نے پوچھ ہی ڈالا ۔ "جی ہاں جی ہاں بالکل ،یہ روبی ہیں کافی مشہور ماڈل ہیں ،ہماری دو مہینے پہلے ہی شادی ہوئی ہے کچھ طبیعت ٹھیک نہیں ہے انکی " یہ سن کر میری تمام پریشانی دور ہوئی ۔مجھے یک گونہ اطمینان اور سکون ہوا ۔ انکے جائز رشتے ، آپس کی محبت اور الفت مجھے بے حد بھانے لگی ،اور پھر انسے کراچی امد تک ہر خطرے سے بے نیاز ہو کر خوب گپیں لگائیں۔۔

International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, International Women's Day is a national holiday.Annually on 8th March, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate their achievements. A global web of rich and diverse local activities connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women's craft markets, theatrics performances, fashion parades and more.
Many global corporations have also started to more actively support IWD by running their own internal events and through supporting external ones.Year on year IWD is certainly increasing in status. The United States even designates the whole month of March as 'Women's History Month'.
So make a difference, think globally and act locally !! Make everyday International Women's Day. Do your bit to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding.
Women in Islam
In the midst of the darkness that engulfed the world, the divine revelation of Islam echoed in the wide desert of Arabia with a fresh, noble, and universal message to humanity:"O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him,He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women; and fear Allâh through Whom you demand (your mutual rights),...". [Noble Quran 4:1] The Quran dedicates numerous verses to Muslim women, their role, duties and rights, in addition to Sura 4 with 176 verses named "An-Nisa" ("Women")
At a time when female children were buried alive in Arabia and women were considered transferable property, Islam honored women in society by elevating them and protecting them with unprecedented rights. Islam gave women the right to education, to marry someone of their choice, to retain their identity after marriage, to divorce, to work, to own and sell property, to seek protection by the law, to vote, and to participate in civic and political engagement.
Khadija ra the Prophet (PBUH) 's wife  was the first person to have an abiding faith in the utterances of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and to accept Islam as her religion and her way of life. She was blessed with the distinction of having been greeted with Salam (greetings) by Allah and the Angel Jibril.
Financial Resposibilities
In Islam, women are not obligated to earn or spend any money on housing, food, or general expenses. If a woman is married, her husband must fully support her financially and if she’s not married, that responsibility belongs to her closest male relative (father, brother, uncle, etc).
She also has the right to work and spend the money she earns as she wishes. She has no obligation to share her money with her husband or any other family members, although she may choose to do so out of good will. For instance, Khadija, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), was one of the most successful businesswomen of Makaah and she freely spent from her wealth to support her husband and the cause of Islam.
Women's Education
Muhammad (pbuh) declared that the pursuit of knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim – male and female. This declaration was very clear and was largely implemented by Muslims throughout history. One of the most influential scholars of Islam was Muhammad(PBUH)’s wife, Aisha ra. After his death, men and women would travel to learn from her because she was considered a great scholar of Islam. She is the narrator of about 2000 ahadith from Prophet (SAW).
Islam encouraged  education of Muslim women. According to a hadith , Muhammad (PBUH) praised the women of Madina  because of their desire for religious knowledge.
How splendid were the women of the Ansar shame did not prevent them from becoming learned in the faith.
Politics and Social Services
Among the early Muslims, women were active participants in the cohesive functioning of the society. Women expressed their opinions freely and their advice was actively sought. Women nursed the wounded during battles, and some even participated on the battlefield. Women traded openly in the marketplace, so much so that the second caliph, Umar, appointed a woman, Shaffa bint Abdullah, as the supervisor of the bazaar.
Inheritance
Before Islam, women all across the globe were deprived of inheritance, Islam gave women the right to own property and inherit from relatives, such as father, husband, son and in some cases from brother.
Whether a woman is a wife, mother, sister, or daughter, she receives a certain share of her deceased relative’s property.  While many societies around the world denied women's inheritance, Islam assured women this right, illustrating the universal justice of Islam’s divine law.
Marriage and Divorce
In Islam, marriage is based on mutual peace, love, and compassion. God says about Himself, “And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy…” (Quran 30:21) Muhammad (pbuh) embodied the best character and is a role model for all Muslims. His example of being helpful around the household and treating his family with compassion and love is a tradition that Muslims strive to implement in their daily lives. Muhammad (pbuh) treated his wives with the utmost respect and honor and was never abusive towards them. One of his traditions clearly states, “The best of you are those who are best to their wives.”
A Muslim woman has the right to divorce her husband if she is unsatisfied with the relationship. This is called Khulaa in Arabic. In this case she has to surrender her dowry, which was given during the marriage contract.
Modesty
In an environment where woman is  constantly emphasized to show her body and beauties through various media and public concerns. Although Muslim women are falsely classified as oppressed based on their modest dress, they are in fact liberated from such a liberal presentation by the society around them. This modest appearance, which includes coverings and sometimes veiling, highlights a woman’s personality and character . In this regard, Muslim women identify with Mary, the mother of Jesus (pbuh), who is known for her piety and modesty.
Islam has elevated the status of women as a mother, a wife, a sister and it was done 1400 years ago when the world was in dark ages. We the Muslim Women should be proud of this status.
